Recently Thomas Library at Wittenberg University was awarded 1 of 843 Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys grants to promote cultural awareness. As part of this grant, Thomas Library will be hosting a series of 5 book talks this fall, led by our own Dr. Jerry Pankhurst, Professor of Sociology. Dates and times for these talks are still to be announced. In the meantime, we invite you to read some of the books over the summer. In the fall, additional copies of the books to be discussed will be made available through Thomas Library.<\/p>\n

Please note: all of the 25 books and 4 DVDs<\/a> awarded through the grant are available through Thomas Library and OhioLINK. The titles mentioned above will be featured in the book talks.<\/p>\n

Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys is available through a grant sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the American Library Association and the Ali Vural Ak Center for Global Islamic Studies at George Mason University.
