doug_lehmanDear Wittenberg students,

On behalf of the staff of Thomas Library, I want to wish you all good luck on your final exams. The end is in sight and that light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train.

It seems like it has been a long semester, but I think that the colder than normal winter may have had an impact on our recollections of January and February. Now, we are in early May; it was 85 degrees today as I wrote this. It is hard to remember that long stretch of high temperatures in the teens and feet of snow we had earlier.

You have all worked and studied hard and your payoff is now within reach. For some this is merely a step on the path and you will be back next year to do it all again. For seniors, this is the end of their Wittenberg career, but new adventures await you. A career, graduate school, maybe a wedding and children. Whatever you do, I wish you success, and, oh, yeah, if you have any library books checked out, bring them back before Commencement. We will not be open on Commencement Saturday.

Thank you for being here for your four years. We have enjoyed having you with us.

Sincerely,
Doug Lehman
Director, Thomas Library
